Support

An armchair solution

Wright Renewable Heating has established working partnerships with a number of associated support businesses that we can engage to fulfil your project requirements. This ranges from suppliers of space heating solutions – radiators and under floor heating to cavity wall and loft insulation, thermal efficient glazing and PV and thermal solar panels. We aim to deliver a complete ‘armchair solution’ to your heating needs – whatever may be required we will get it sorted, you won’t need to physically do anything.

Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

How energy efficient is your home today?
If you have bought a house recently or moved into new business premises you will know that the EPC was an important part of the information pack you were provided with. The EPC gives us a benchmark about how thermally and energy efficient you property is and more often than not it will stipulate which energy efficiency measures are recommended for the property.

If you are thinking about installing a heat pump then the EPC takes one even greater significance because the qualifying criteria for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) are entirely dependant on the EPC and its recommendations.

The rules in brief are:

  • You must have a recent EPC and for the purposes of the BUS ‘recent’ means in the last 10 years. **
  • There must ne no recommendations on the EPC for loft or cavity wall insulation.

** We would recommend that if your EPC is within the 10 years but you have had any kind of work done to the property in that time (particularly if it relates to loft or cavity wall insulation) that you have a new EPC done prior to installing any new heating or energy saving measure. Obviously if your EPC is more than 109 years old then you should get one done as part of the process.

In order to create the perfect heating solution for your property we need to know the starting point, this is done via the EPC. This can be conducted by our fully qualified in-house assessor or you are quite a liberty to select an independent third party if you prefer.

From our survey and the information within the EPC we create a heat loss calculation which in turn allows us to create a bespoke proposal to perfectly fit your requirements.

Don’t Worry – We have the in-house capability to conduct the EPC assessment for you. Our qualified assessor will visit your home at a time to suit you to conduct the survey and produce the necessary certification.

As a result of the EPC survey there may be recommendations for improvements to be made to your home, which will massively improve your energy efficiency. If this is the case then once again we can get this work arranged for you through our partner companies.

Here’s what we do

Making homes and businesses more energy efficient, reducing carbon emissions and lowering energy bills.

Survey *

Every system is designed to fit your precise requirements and is tailored specifically to your home or business. We will visit you to conduct a survey of your requirements and carefully explain how you will get the best out of your system. Whether you are looking at a heat pump, solar panels or both, we will find the best possible solution to suit your property, circumstances and budget.

Installation

Our fully accredited and experienced team will be on-site for between 1 and 4 days depending on the type of installation, which could include changing your radiators if required, installing a new cylinder and heat pump, underfloor heating, solar panels, batteries and invertors and all the associated cabling.

Design

From our initial survey, the subsequent technical survey and our ongoing communication we will design a bespoke system entirely focussed on your specific criteria. That said, we are the experts here and we will only design a system that will work and is possible, so please don’t ask for a flying cylinder or pink solar panels.

Commissioning

Once installation is complete your system will be commissioned for use and you will be walked through the controls, any questions will be answered and you will be given a handover pack explaining how you should best use the system.

Maintenance & Repair

We can conduct regular annual maintenance on your system to ensure optimal efficiency and in the unlikely event of any system failure or sub-optimal performance all our installations are guaranteed and remedial works will be completed within warranty obligations. Please ask your installer or call the office to talk about the service plan options.

* After your initial enquiry, Wright Renewable Heating will contact you to take you through a questionnaire that will provide us with the basic information we require and give you a greater understanding of the next steps. The first of which is a no obligation survey of your property combined with a discussion about how the installation will work for you. At this point we will be able to provide you with some indicative costs, potential savings and details on works required. When you decide to proceed we will take a deposit based on the cost estimate and schedule a full and detailed survey from which we will be able to provide a full quotation, system specifications and anticipated savings and an installation schedule.
